BAGS Ground Services recently visited Chiang Mai Technical College to discuss opportunities for strengthening academic and professional collaboration and supporting the development of skilled personnel for Thailand’s aviation industry.
On 17 August 2026, Mr. Boonsom Phoungkaew, Managing Director of BAGS Ground Services, together with the BAGS management team, was welcomed by Dr. Watcharapong Funtip, Director of Chiang Mai Technical College, along with the college’s management, instructors, and students from the Aviation Business, Electrical Power, Automotive, and Electronics Departments.
The meeting focused on exploring practical areas of collaboration between BAGS and the college, including co-developing education and training programs, aligning academic curricula with real-world industry requirements, providing professional training opportunities, and organizing activities to enhance students’ knowledge and skills.
The collaboration aims to prepare students from the four relevant departments with competencies that support careers in ground handling services and ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, while strengthening the connection between classroom learning and actual workplace practices.
During the visit, the BAGS management team also toured the college’s laboratories and experienced its training equipment and facilities. The visit provided an opportunity to assess the college’s capabilities and explore potential ways to integrate practical training into future collaborative programs.
BAGS Ground Services values strong partnerships with educational institutions as an important part of developing the next generation of aviation professionals. Through closer collaboration between industry and education, BAGS aims to contribute to a skilled, capable, and industry-ready aviation workforce for the future.
